Hey, I'd be interested in serving on the committee. Who else is interested?

Hope everyone did OK in the storm.

All,

Luis made a good suggestion… to add a member from MECA to the selection committee.  I will do that.

It feels like it should take 2-4 weeks to meet and agree on a selection.  Then PROCUREMENT can “do their thing”.

Sounds like a good selection to me. About how long would the team have for due diligence?

All,

Great news.

The CITY has received four responses today to the RFP for Wexford Skate Park.

We now need to assemble an evaluation team to select our Design/Builder.

I would suggest:

-Two members from the SkatePark “sub-committee”

                -One member from GRANTS

                -One member from PROCUREMENT

                -One member from DPW

                -One member from RECREATION

Please let me know if this sounds like a reasonable mix for our evaluation team.

Also please let me know specific people to include.

Once we have our committee, we can distribute copies of all four proposals and plan a review meeting.

Thanks for your continued help.

I had suggested to señor Burnham (back in da day) Mahoney and Rozza because of time availability as well as their level of involvement throughout the process. I'm happy that they at least kept the two slots.

Yep...I'm down. Im sure we could squeeze a third in if needed as well.

My main concern is making sure the park gets built to the actual specs and stays as close to the initial vision as possible. I'm pretty sure they won't mess up the stage, that's pretty straight forward.

Agreed. I think that's going to be the biggest piece of the discussion: adherence to our design. It's easy to bid and disregard parts of the rfp.
