Yeah, I'm gonna go and see what's up. Probably not necessary, but it'll be interesting to see which companies show up and I'll def report back.

Oh, and I'm gonna call the guy who's involved with the Bobby Sands memorial tomorrow and see if they're interested in collaborating on a mural.

I’ve got a press conference about Winterfest this morning at 11:00 a.m. and a few things I need to wrap up before then, so I won’t be able to make it. Plus, it’s raining and I’m a sissy.

So not much happened. Only one contractor showed up and he didn't have any skate park experience. The meeting wasn't mandatory so its no big deal.

There will be another meeting once the bids are submitted, most likely after the October 25th deadline.

PS...i think we should do something about the tags that are all over the monument before we get in touch with people about doing a mural.

I had a volunteer group in there on Saturday and they cleaned up the monument and lots of tags that were pretty vulgar. Hopefully it didn’t get re tagged.

 

Have you guys seen the artwork in there with the Sword in the Stone theme? It is some amazing artwork and worth a visit there just to see it!

Someone should start a Heaven Tumbler account that catalogs the changing images at the site. That would go a long way in establishing positivity towards the cool stuff as we combat the crap.

Its the toy come up crews that disrespect the monument. I've already spoken to one crew. :) it looks amazing there :) Ben said he would bid but he hasn't seen anything through his contractor connects. We should send him info on how he can apply.

Weird. I called Ben right after the RFP came out and emailed all the info for it. I didn't expect him to come to the meeting today though since he knows all about the project.
