I just talked to Mark Tamaccio from DPW. They are in the process of trying to hire a structural engineer. They need to to do this before the RFP goes out so that the bidders know what they're looking at. So it seems the ball is completely in their court going forward.

I've also been hearing some misinformation out there regarding the status of the park and the funding for it. I think it would be great if we could put something together to clarify what's happening and where we are with everything.

Maybe press release? Or an update to the blog at least?

What do folks think?

Defitnetly i get asked so mucj about the situation of the park just heard that park st area is looking to build a park aswell dont know how true that is

What kinda of misinformation? That courant article two weeks or so back was accurate.

I didn't see any articles...can you forward it Brendan?

Mostly I've been hearing a lot of bs and lies...that we're losing the cdbg money or that the city is gonna give the money to someone else to build the park...or that the park is not gonna happen at all because Luis is leaving :).....etc, etc.
