As a reminder we have a meeting tonight.

Couple things. If you want to eat, you must reply. Ok, if you don't reply maybe I'll give you a bite of my crust, but only if it's not that good. Others might be more friendly, but I wouldn't count on it.

One thing we have to talk about is ideas for the group moving forward. As Dan as pointed out, this was a tough 6 months for us, and we'd like to get some direction from the group where it should go. So attendees tonight will have an unfair advantage to drive the future of the group, so you should come because I know you love driving. I can bring a picture of a porsche for effect if you need me to.

Then for the content.. Not sure what ruby type things we'll talk about, but if no one else has anything I need to hack up some rails -> iphone goodness per http://iphoneonrails.com/ . But if there are broader topics we should probably focus on them instead of my self serving content.

So who's in tonight. I'd also like to make sure we have enough heads to meet. If it's going to me Dan, Steve and I, I think we might want to save everyone's time.

Thanks folks
- Aaron

I'll be there, and I'm in for food. We also have a RailsSpace book to
raffle off...

I'd love to make it to the meeting, but I don't want to show up more
than an hour late.

If you are driving the future of the group in any particular
direction, I move for later at night/on weekends/closer to Storrs :)

I'm out (was at GoRuCo this weekend), gotta spend some home time with
family.

I like doing the lunches. I'm not sure if adding topics to those
would make them better or not (my guess is not). I've had a stronger
desire to hear more about ruby on the web at night meetings (rails,
merb, rack, etc) but I realize lots of people aren't using rails and
the like.

All that said, I trust whatever decision is made will be the right one.

Cheers,
Flinn

Greetings, Brigadeers.  I regret that I won't be able to attend tonight's meeting.  My wife and I are just back from a trip Out West to Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, returning late last night.  Today's agenda involves preparing for the injection back into normal life.  I am hopeful about the future of the group, as I have enjoyed the sessions in which I have been privileged to participate, though I realize that the participants are few in number and widely scattered.

Thanks everyone for your replies..

I think tonight's meeting is not looking so good.

That being said, I think we still have a lot of interested people in the area.. This is going to sound crazy, but what would people think of weekend meetings?! Maybe Saturday mornings, but maybe every 2 months instead?

Either way, unless a few more people show interest for tonight I think we need to call it.

But please don't unsubscribe from the list  :)  if nothing else this list has been pretty active  :)

My son's got either Soccer or Football depending on the season. I
would be in for weekend gatherings maybe at another time of day or
Sundays.

Can we determine a time at which you guys will officially call off
tonight's meeting?

It would be nice to know ....

We were just talking about that, if we don't hear anything by 3 with
at least 2-3 then it's off. Is that enough notice for you?

I won't be able to make it tonight. Hartford is always a long trip
for me and I've had calendar conflicts for the last few meetings.

Sounds good. I'll check the forum at 3pm and see how things look.
thanks

it is now 3:30 and no other folks seem able to make it, so I am
assuming the meeting is officially off for tonight.

Thanks

Agreed. Meeting is canceled.

That being said, let's get a lunch setup. Who's interested.. Instead of setting up a lunch let's see who can go, then we can figure out when and where.

Thanks

Me too. We can make sure it's a good location for whoever's in, too
-- if you're Hartford area, and have a tough time getting out of the
office for lunch, speak up! I was at Plan B in West Hartford
recently, it's not too far from downtown...
