| Dear Dr. Starr and Members of the Board of Education,
I'm sure you are all tired of hearing from me by now, but I feel I must once again reiterate my position on the proposal to remove MaryAnn Mara from Hart Magnet.
In the past three years Hart has had five administrators, and each change in administration brought changes in priorities and in implementation of programs. The current team of Mrs. Darling and Ms. Mara are working together to improve Hart. They both know Hart's strengths and weaknesses, and
together have established relationships with our staff and families. Working together they are able to get the best from each and every person connected with Hart. We at Hart have already seen how changes stall forward momentum, which is why I am certain any further administrative move will hamper Hart's reformation.
One thing I have learned from Everyday Math is that there is more than one way to look at a problem to come up with a solution. I know you all have spent many hours trying to make our limited budget work with the least pain for everyone, and I appreciate your efforts. Please re-examine our budget problem
and come up with a solution that does not stall the progress Hart has made this year with yet another administrative change.
Sincerely, Moira Sawch 406-0769 |
