We have an urgent opening for a Project Manager to support a large-scale MES (Medicaid Enterprise System) Modernization Program.

• Candidate Location: Must be a CURRENT South Carolina Resident (No Relocation Allowed)
Project Scope:
Seeking an experienced Project Manager Consultant to support a large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Modernization initiative. This multi-year transformation program focuses on replacing legacy healthcare and claims processing systems with modern, scalable, and configurable solutions. The consultant will work within the PMO to support project planning, governance, scheduling, reporting, vendor oversight, and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support PMO activities including project planning, execution, governance, and reporting
• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Coordinate schedule updates from project teams and vendors
• Monitor project milestones, critical paths, dependencies, and schedule performance
• Oversee vendor schedule management and project governance compliance
• Produce schedule variance reports, resource forecasts, project metrics, and executive status reports
• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and track follow-up activities
• Assist with effort estimation, resource planning, and project scheduling activities
• Maintain project risks, issues, action items, and change requests
• Support scope management, configuration management, and governance processes
• Develop dashboards and performance reporting for leadership review
• Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, business teams, and vendors to ensure project success
Required Skills:
• 3–5 years of PMO experience supporting large-scale technology projects
• Experience creating and maintaining governance plans, project schedules, risk registers, scope baselines, and change management processes
• 2–3 years of project planning, scheduling, reporting, resource management, and metrics experience
• 2–3 years of SDLC planning experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including:
Preferred Skills:
• 3–5 years of Microsoft Project Server / Project Web App (PWA) experience
• 3–5 years of Agile Software Development methodology experience
• Experience supporting enterprise modernization or healthcare technology initiatives
• Experience working with vendors and third-party implementation teams
• Strong executive reporting, forecasting, and communication experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field
OR
• Associate Degree with 10+ years of Project Management experience
Preferred Certifications:
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
• Agile or Scrum-related Certifications
