Job Summary

We are seeking a TIBCO Platform Support Lead with 10+ years of experience to manage TIBCO servers (BW, EMS, RV) and environments. This remote role requires extensive expertise in TIBCO Administration within Linux and Solaris systems. The primary focus will be on Platform and Infrastructure Support, including leading a complex Solaris to Linux TIBCO migration project. Candidates must have extensive production support experience and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve Severity 1/2 incidents across TIBCO infrastructure and applications.

 

Core Responsibilities & Migration Focus

Platform Support & Incident Response

  • Extensive Production Support: Continuously monitor TIBCO services (BW, EMS, RV, etc.) for performance and availability.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to service failures, latency, or integration errors.
  • Incident Management: Analyse logs to identify root causes and respond to Severity 1 or Severity 2 incidents with timely resolution or escalation.
  • TIBCO Installation & Configuration: Install TIBCO components (Business Works, EMS, Hawk, Administrator) and configure domains, services, and adapters.

Solaris to Linux Migration Project (Primary Focus)

  • Pre-Migration Assessment: Audit the existing Solaris environment (TIBCO versions, configurations, dependencies) and confirm Linux compatibility.
  • Linux Environment Preparation: Provision Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu), install required packages (Java JDK), and configure networking/security.
  • Installation & Migration: Install TIBCO components on Linux, copy projects, and update scripts and paths to match Linux conventions.
  • Validation & Cutover: Perform smoke testing, service validation, and performance benchmarking. Plan cutover with a robust rollback strategy.

DevOps & Environment Management

  • CI/CD Setup: Set up and upgrade CI/CD pipelines for TIBCO with Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain and support multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod), ensuring proper configuration, patching, and version control.

  1. TIBCO Administration & Server Management (10+ Years): Expertise in managing TIBCO Servers (BW, EMS, RV) in Linux and Solaris systems.
  2. Platform & Infrastructure Support: Extensive experience in production platform support with the ability to handle severe incidents.
  3. Migration Focus: Direct experience or deep knowledge required for TIBCO migration/upgrade projects (specifically Solaris to Linux, and CI/CD setup).
