Job Summary

The successful candidate will join the team as an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for this Hybrid role based in Riverwoods, IL. This position is crucial for ensuring software quality and reliability, with a primary focus on designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automation testing using Selenium and Java. The SDET will collaborate with developers on code quality, enhance the overall testing framework, and ensure seamless integration through CI/CD pipelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Automation: Utilize Selenium and Java to automate test scripts, significantly enhancing test efficiency and coverage.
• Collaboration & Defect Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and monitor defects during the software development lifecycle.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing framework and infrastructure.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews and work closely with developers to understand technical requirements and design effective test cases.
• Analyze test results, provide detailed reports to stakeholders, and maintain test documentation.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

 

Top Skills Required

1. Selenium (Strong experience in automation testing).
2. Java (Technical proficiency for script development).
3. Web Services – Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs.
4. CI/CD experience (Integrating automation into the pipeline).
