Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) / SQL Developer / ETL Developer
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract / Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced DBA / SQL Developer / ETL Developer to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, SQL development, ETL processes, performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity and system reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database systems (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
• Design, develop, and support ETL workflows and data integration processes
• Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Support database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities
• Troubleshoot database and ETL-related issues in production and non-production environments
• Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and infrastructure teams
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and release deployments
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database and ETL processes

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience as a SQL Developer with advanced SQL scripting
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or DataStage
• Expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning
• Knowledge of backup/recovery and high-availability solutions
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in banking or financial services environments
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
