We are actively looking for a strong Kubernetes Platform Engineer for an immediate backfill position with our client. Candidates who are available to join quickly or can interview immediately will be highly preferred.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Service Mesh technologies, and cloud-native platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, automating, and managing scalable Kubernetes infrastructures across multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across cloud platforms including OpenShift, EKS, and AKS.
· Implement and maintain Service Mesh solutions such as Istio, Gloo, or Kong to enable secure, resilient, and observable service-to-service communication.
· Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to optimize and support microservices-based architectures.
· Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Helm.
· Automate deployments, operational workflows, monitoring pipelines, and CI/CD processes using Jenkins.
· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
· Ensure platform security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices are consistently followed.
· Support observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Jaeger.
· Work with networking, API gateways, and load balancing technologies to support distributed systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture, deployment, administration, and multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.
· Hands-on experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Gloo, or Kong.
· Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Strong experience with Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
· Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform and Helm.
· Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Jaeger.
· Good understanding of networking concepts, API gateways, ingress controllers, and load balancing.
· Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
· Familiarity with container security and Kubernetes security tools.
· Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
Note: This is an urgent backfill requirement. Immediate availability is highly preferred.
