As you know, we recently reclaimed this group from terrible spammers
(hurray!). The mods and I are still working to clean up the spam but
in the meantime, it's time to get this group going.

So here is hopefully one of the first weekly posts that gives you
fresh information about any Harry Potter related book news, movie
news, and more!

--------- MOVIE NEWS -----------

** "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" to be made into TWO movies!
Because of the incredible amount of content covered in the book,
Warner Brothers announced that DH will be made into two movies that
will be filmed at the same time, much as the three "Lord of the Rings"
movies were made.

** Rupert & Emma Go Shopping!
Gossip site ONTD reports that Rupert & Emma were shopping this week
when Rupert received a call from a singer by the name of Lily.

** Emma Beats The Boys At Ping-Pong!
Several gossip sites this week are reporting an interview with the
trio where they admit that Emma beats everyone in ping-pong.

** Class sign-up begins now for next term!
The third and final term this year for Hogwarts is coming up soon!
Class registration is still ongoing so once you've gotten your
character sheet in, go sign up for a class.

** NEW PLOTS for next term!
Danton Thirroul and the World of Hogwarts RPOs are cooking up some
fantastic plots this coming semester! The Ministry of Magic, under the
leadership of Kingsley Shacklebolt, is struggling against the
oppressive Romanian Ministry who is trying to infiltrate all of
Europe! Meanwhile, at Hogwarts, the mysterious being "Torquil" is
stirring up chaos.

** New GMs Elected!
World of Hogwarts becomes the FIRST RPG sim in Second Life to hold
democratic elections for wholly soverign GM Council members. Unlike
other sims in Second Life, the GM Council of World of Hogwarts IS the
final ruling body of the sim. Members voted and selected three new
members to the GM Council, thus cementing it as the first
democratically run sim in Second Life. Congratulations to the new GMs!

** Quidditch Leagues Starting!
Quidditch is underway at World of Hogwarts! We have fantastic players
on all the teams and amazing feats performed by the cheerleaders of
each team. In addition, teams are forming NOW for sims all across
Second Life!
