Dear friends,

It has been a long summer and I hope you have all been productive, painting or following your respective bliss!
Some of you have expressed interest in the Alexander Technique and what it can do for you as artists and professionals in general.
Karen DeHart is having a workshop and I thought I would pass on the info.

The Alexander Technique for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers:

Learning to Work with Ease

 Harmony Farm

A workshop with Karen DeHart, M.AmSAT, nationally certified                                Alexander Technique teacher

Sunday, October 10th - 10 AM to 4 PM

$85.00

Practitioners who use their hands to work with clients face unique challenges.  While their work is therapeutic for others, benefits often come at the expense of the practitioner’s own well-being.  Back, shoulder and neck pain, as well as tension and fatigue are common complaints.

The Alexander Technique offers a means to working with greater efficiency, enhanced co-ordination, less strain, and more comfort.  This workshop will present basic concepts of the Alexander Technique and examine their significance with regard to your work.  We will explore your habits of use and look at ways of moving that offer more ease and comfort.

There will be time for guided practice so that you can apply new ideas to your specific needs.

Lunch will be brown bag or you may pre-order a box lunch for an additional $15.
No cancellations after Oct. 7th at 5pm, $50.00 is non-refundable
