please i want u to read this draft const and make suggestions to
improve it

Constitution of Harris Chapel Baptist Youth Fellowship
ARTICLE 1: NAME
The fellowship shall be known as the Harris Chapel Baptist Youth
Fellowship (known in this document as the 'Fellowship').

ARTCLE 2: AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1. Share experiences of the Christian faith, develop personal faith
and deepen the Christian content of its member's mission
2. Raise the awareness of young people to the needs of others
(especially other young people) locally, nationally and globally and
encourage them to engage in activities and projects in which they can
make a difference,
3. Share regularly with each other, ideas and information at all
levels of membership in the fellowship

ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP
The fellowship is made up of all persons between the ages of thirteen
years and thirty years who are members of Harris Chapel Baptist
Church, Haasto

ARTICLE 4: OFFICERS OF FELLOWSHIP
a. A four member Executive committee made of the
1. President
2. Secretary
3. Organiser
4. Treasurer
b. The Executive committee shall be charged with to act behalf of
members in the management and administration of funds mobilized by the
Fellowship
c. Any three (3) members of the Executive committee can form a Quorum
for meetings.

ARTICLE 5: ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The members of the Executive committee shall be elected at a general
meeting by a vote of simple majority by at least 70% of members
present.



ARTICLE 6: TERM OF OFFICE OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
a. The term of office of every executive officer shall be two (2)
years. During the year if there is the need to elect a replacement
(s), the unexpired term of office of the replacement (s) shall be the
unexpired term of the prevailing Executive Committee Member.
b. An Executive member may seek re-election after the expiration f the
two year term.

ARTICLE 7: RESIGNATION OF EXECUTIVE MEMBER
Any Executive member who wants to resign his or her office shall give
one (1) month notice in writing to the Executive Committee who will in
turn inform members of the fellowship for another election to be
conducted.

ARTICLE 8: ACCOUNT OPENING AND OPERATION
a. The Fellowship shall open a current Account with any commercial
Bank that it might decide.
b. Any two (2) of the following may act as signatories of the account:
President, Treasurer and Secretary.
c. The Cheque book shall be in the custody of the Treasurer.

ARTICLE 9: AUDITING OF ACCOUNTS OF WELFARE ASSOCIATION
a. A two (2) member audit team shall be elected by members of the
fellowship at the end of the year by simple vote .
b. The audit team shall subject the fellowships Accounts to scrutiny
to offer their fair and true comments on the account.

ARTICLE 10: PRESENTATION OF ACCOUNTS
The treasurer shall present the fellowships statements of account for
the half year to members at a meeting in June.

ARTICLE 11: AMMENDMENT OF CONSTITUTION
This constitution shall be amended by at least 70% of members
present.


ARTICLE 12: PROMULGATION OF CONSTITUTION
This constitution was promulgated to come into force on
the ..............of .........................2009 under the hands of

You now also have manager access so you can change the pages add contents invite members etc, as you the executives wishes.
