Girls Flag Rugby Coaches Needed

Last year, in partnership with Girls Rugby Inc, we started the first Girls Flag Rugby league in PA. During our inaugural season, we had almost 20 girls from ages 7-14 come out to learn about rugby!
Our next season begins in September, and we need your help to make it another success! We are in dire need of some additional coaches and volunteers to help with our Highspire teams AND our new Hershey teams! The overall time commitment is minimal at about 3 hours a week. Additional details are below:
Highspire Coaching Details
- Coaches will be asked to complete certifications via USA rugby that will be paid for by Girls Rugby Inc.
- For the Highspire location, we only need assistant coaches and/or volunteers to the level of certifications needed varies based on role
- Coaches will be asked to take the coaching course curriculum provided by PA Girls Rugby
- Practices are held once a week on Wednesdays at Memorial Park for an hour (5:30 - 6:30; this time may be pushed to 6)
- All practices are pre-written with planned games, curriculum and skills
- Games are held on Sundays at 2:00 PM. Games are two-10 minute or 15 minute (10 minutes for the younger girls) halves.
- Games will be held at both the Highspire and Hershey locations (rotating every-other-week)
Hershey Location Details
- We need a head coach for this location
- Coaches will be asked to complete certifications via USA rugby that will be paid for by Girls Rugby Inc
- Coaches will be asked to take the coaching course curriculum provided by PA Girls Rugby
- Practices are held once a week on Tuesdays at Palmdale Park in Hershey for an hour (5:00 - 6:00; this time may change based on Coach availability)
- All practices are pre-written with planned games, curriculum and skills
- Games are held on Sundays at 2:00 PM and rotate between locations.
