Dear Friends,

I am a member of a group of concerned residents who have crafted a statement of concern about Lexington's trees.  We have published a website that includes a home page about the statement and its goals, an invitation for individuals and groups to sign, and a list of those who have already done so.  I invite you to join us.  

Please go to www.lexingtontree statement.org to read the statement and if you are inclined (and it would help!) to follow the instructions to sign.  Then please spread the word to others!  We also welcome endorsements by community groups including neighborhood, religious and civic organizations.  If you are a member of such a group please help us by bringing this to them for their consideration.  We are happy to meet with any group to talk about the value of trees and to answer their questions - just reach out to me if that interests you.

It is our hope that demonstration of deep and broad community support for Lexington's trees will put wind in the sails of the efforts of those working to preserve and enhance the town's tree canopy.
