The Mini Mouse is a combo mouse and presentation remote with a touchpad and red light pointer for presentations. It connects to your host Windows, Mac, iPad, or Android system using Bluetooth 5.0 with an operating range of up to 33'. It is powered by an internal battery that lasts for up to 20 days.
I used to be able to uncheck a checkbox that said Emulate touch screen in the Emulation/Sensors-panel so that I could see a mouse pointer when using responsive mode. This panel is now gone, and the new sensors-panel doesn't have this setting.
This makes it impossible to use the responsive mode, as I have no pointer and no control where I touch/click (who designed this feature?!). How can I see a pointer/mouse when I use responsive mode in newer Chrome?
The answer is pretty straightforward. Chrome gives you an option to create a custom device. Follow these steps: 1. Open dev tools 2. Press F1 to get into settings 3. go to devices 4. Add a custom device there.
Press Ctrl + Shift + C while the mouse is over the page in order to turn "Select an element in the page to inspect it" mode on then turn it back off using the icon and not the shortcut. Your cursor is now visible :)
Added: What ACTUALLY solved my problem was swaping the connection from HDMI to DisplayPort! I dont know weather it was the cable problem or the port. Finally the cursor is there and working!

I just set up my Ubuntu desktop to use our living room TV as a monitor, and I would like to be able to use either my iPhone or Nexus 7 tablet as a mousepad/keyboard for controlling it from the couch. With Mac/Windows there were plenty of apps that did this, what do I need to do this using Ubuntu? And just to be clear I am NOT looking for a Remote Desktop on my phone/tablet, I want to use them as a mouse and keyboard. Thanks!

There is another option that I use which is GSConnect extension (Basically KDE Connect with better stablity on gnome). It has a lot of other features also as a bonus. You need KDE Connect on your android mobile / tablet also.

There is an option for iPhone which acts as a trackpad and/or keyboard over Wifi. It is called TouchPad, by Edovia (the same people who made Screens). It works on iPhone and iPad, and while it was designed primarily for Mac, I have confirmed that it works on Ubuntu with only a VNC server (no special server daemon required). It costs AU$5.49 currently.
Another option to the remote control like apps mentioned above, you can connect your phone via connectbot, depending on your phone and distribution flavor there are a vriety of tutorials out there, or more general like this one -tunneling-android.html .
I like this option because I use a droid 2 and it gives me greater functional control over my desktop system that I too have set up with the living room TV. I like not leaving the couch to type anymore. :) Cheers
If the desktop PC has bluetooth connectivity, you can try to emulate a bluetooth mouse and or keyboard with your phone or tablet. This use the bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device), which is a standard bluetooth protocol: any computer having bluez installed (included in default install) is ready !
So, the main issue here is to find an application that runs on your phone or tablet that emulate a bluetooth HID. There is a question about that. On my android phone, I tried BlueputDroid which is free of charge (but has adds). Any pointer to a better app would be welcomed. It require root through, because of restriction in the android API...
So, after you launched the bluetooth HID emulation app on your phone/tablet, you just have to associate (or re-associate) it with your computer. I had to log-out for it to work, but after that any click / mouse movement / keyboard event from your phone go to your desktop PC.
Mouse lines would have to be screened in their own library. Combined with the species batch effect it is unlikely that the data could be well-integrated, and we see more benefit from screens of human cancers. So at the moment we have no plans to screen mouse lines.
The reason why click only works on the second time on some hand held devices is because the first click is emulated as mouseover. You could perhaps use mousedown or if it is a hover nav then use mouseenter or mouseover. You could perhaps even solve this just with CSS and no JavaScript. Because first click is emulated as mouseover you can have a rule like this:
Now I also have this wireless mouse (Logitech M215), which also has a teeny-weeny dongle. What I am trying to figure out is, whether I can use the wireless mouse dongle to somehow connect to my cell-phone.
The M215 isn't a Bluetooth device. The M215 uses the Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology, which is not the same as Bluetooth. Unfortunately, you will not be able to connect your phone unless the dongle also supports Bluetooth. From what I've read, that doesn't appear to be the case. Sorry, you seem to be out of luck.
Yes, you can, if your phone has USB OTG Compatibility, and you have a suitable USB OTG adaptor. You connect the adaptor to your phone, and the mouse dongle to the adaptor. Its kind of clunky but it works on most android devices I have tested it on, from gingerbread to newer releases of android
A bluetooth mouse can pair with a cell phone. I am actually using a Bluetooth mouse that is paired to my cell phone right now, but you may have to go to a electronic store and try out a Bluetooth cell phone and see which one that will pair to your phone.

I have a HP 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse, and it stopped working randomly.
I've had it for a while, and it worked perfectly until now. I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 Laptop. It was working perfect, then the next day I tried it and it wasn't working. First, I tried changing the batteries and that was no success.The mouse turns on, and the red light underneath (the one that shows its on) is on, and the blue light on the scroll is blinking and I don't know what that means. I've tried changing the [little thing in the USB] to a different USB port, that doesn't work. My laptop makes the sound when I plug it in, which indicates that it's plugged in. I reinstalled it and everything and when I did that it said that it was installed.
Please, I need help. Thank you.
This is obviously a work-around and not a solution. If you turn the trails off, the pointer freezes again, even though the mouse actually keeps working (but with no indication of where it is, you could lose your mind trying to work with it.)
Hey guys. I had this problem yesterday. I solved it. You need to dongle your mouse to the receiver. Receiver is plugged, the mouse os OFF. Hold the top button and turn ON the mouse, keep holding the button for 3 more seconds, and it's done. That worked for me.
Out of no where the mouse stopped working after months of no problems. I tried all of the solutions and nothing worked. I'm running vista 64 bit. Tried everything on the machine and even a completely different laptop running Windows 7. the driver is recognized and installed but nothing but the annoying flashing blue light. Any other suggestions or is it time to ditch HP mouse and go to a differenet mfg.
I have exactly same problem with this mouse. It would be good if HP put some decent troubleshooting info on their support pages. The pressing a button on top of mouse for 3 seconds had not effect - neither did changing battery
Scrolling within the body of note is not working consistently for me with an Apple Mouse on an iPad10 (2022), iPadOS 16.4 Beta 4. It is sporadic AT BEST. The mouse works normally for me on all other manner of apps on the device.
