Whileinvestigating how VPN had been configured for SVN, I found that we weren't using our SonicWall's VPN/SSLVPN - we were using our Windows Server 2008 machine's "Routing and Remote Access Service".

Is it "better" to use the VPN functionality built into SonicWALL or to use Windows "Routing and Remote Access Service"? By "better", I mean, are the two equivalent choices with one being a clearly superior option to the other?

In a tutorial video, I saw that SSL-VPN through SonicWALL uses a web portal system to connect to VPN. With our current Windows implementation, anyone who wants to connect via VPN just creates a new VPN connection in their OS. If we use SSL-VPN, do we have to use the web portal, or can people still use their OS-configured VPN connections (like OSX's System Preferences > Network > VPN Connection type)?

3 - Yes and no, as by default you need the sonicwall global vpn client, as it add another layer of security, but you can create pptp compatible configuration in the sonicwall. (and you got the vpn extension from the webpage, which is in reality an activex that autoconfigure the vpn)

What do you like best about the product?The best thing about sonicwall is that it allows anyone in the organisation to access the main company network from anywhere in the world while maintaining the safety protocols. It establishes a safe and secure connection so that every work can be done with privacy and safety. Sonicwall is easy to use as it has all the necessary controls in the welcome screen. I frequently use it for my official work. It also has many features one of them is that it provides flexibility of changing the company network. Also it is very easy to implement and install.What do you dislike about the product?One thing that I dislike about sonic wall is the user interface. It could have been a little more intuitive and user friendly. Current UI is usable but lacks the smooth user experience feel.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Sonicwall as a tool allows me to safely access my company network while it eliminates all the possible threats which can affect my system and my work. It has been providing safe working environment to many people in world due to which it is one of the top software in industry in this domain.

What do you like best about the product?I like using SonicWall for its strong network security. The ability to detect and prevent cyber threats, along with its intuitive interface, makes security management easy. Additionally, its reliable performance ensures effective protection for enterprise networks.What do you dislike about the product?The SonicWall interface can feel a bit complicated at times, especially for users less familiar with advanced security settings. More simplicity in the user experience would be beneficial, although the protection it provides is still solid.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Using SonicWall, I have solved critical network security problems by detecting and blocking cyber threats. Benefits include robust protection that ensures the integrity of the enterprise network. The ability to efficiently manage security and proactive threat detection contribute to a more secure and reliable environment.

What do you like best about the product?Using TZ370 since 2 years.

What do you like best about the product?Sonicwall Firewall comes with reatively medium in cost it is userfriendly to configure. It provides best UTM security to the organisation.What do you dislike about the product?When device connected to the Site to Site VPN device went in idle state muiltple times.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Sonicwall Firewall can place in branch level to filter all the incoming and outgoing traffic wiht very midium cost.

What do you like best about the product?The complete portfolio for Network Security includes Next Generation Firewall, Wi-Fi Access Points and Network Switches. They have their own patented and proprietary technology called RTDMI, which is an edge over competitors. It enables quick detection of Malware over the network.What do you dislike about the product?Nothing! They are pretty much the best for Small and Medium Businesses.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?It help helping us with safeguarding our network and IT resources from Internet threats such as Malware, Ransomware, Phishing, etc.

What do you like best about the product?It always runs in the background. SonicWall makes me feel safer on both public and private WiFi platforms while handling sensitive HIPAA -protected information.What do you dislike about the product?It is a bit technical for inexperienced users. However, at our agency, the IT department manages this service for us. Our IT department has had no issues using this product.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?SonicWall protects our individual users' systems while handling sensitive, protected health information and keeping us HIPAA compliant.

What do you like best about the product?Thanks to SonicWall NetExtender, we can now securely access our desktops, including uploading and downloading files remotely to and from the network.What do you dislike about the product?I cannot think of anything. It's all good.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?It provided the level of security we needed to make full remote access possible, making users more productive. In addition, the flexibility it gives employees makes it a winner for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?We use both the Sonicwall 3600 firewall and also the Advance Gateway Security Suite. Both products are great. AGSS provides our email encryption.What do you dislike about the product?I want better online training. They do have an excellent knowledge base, but it is hard to find training.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Sonicwall is helping keep our network safe. It also provides routing, content control, and VPN services.
