I just want to give a very very enthusiastic endorsement to Jim Antaki's turbo slide. I've been having a wonderful time exploring the chromatic possibilities made possible by the sliding row of pitch altering magnets. If you buy one you will have to spend some time opening up the gaps on some of the blow reeds in order to keep them from choking when the magnet button is pushed, but once you do this you won't have an issue with the blow reeds choking. Here's what I love about this invention: 1. You can bend blow octaves and chords, 2.The bends can be adjusted so they play in tune and they can be sustained. 3. All of the draw bends are increased a semi-tone when the button is pushed which adds to the expressiveness of phrases. I highly recommend it and suggested to Jim that he add of second row of magnets on draw holes 7-10 to further expand the range in the upper register. (I don't know if this is possible) So I give the turbo slide two big thumbs up.
