Mickey Raphael is listed as the harmonica player on the album.
I think his playing on the cut Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore is what ha Monica is all about in non-blues music. It is just perfect.

I listened to these trax on Youtube. I could hear a smidgeon of harp on
"Nobody to blame" and none at all on
"Daddy doesn't pray anymore". Is there a joke I'm missing here?

There's lots of harp on Daddy doesn't pray anymore not as much on nobody to blame. Sometime s on you tube you have to be careful if the song being played isn't off the album is has different musicians. Just got it from iTunes today and asked my wife if she could hear the harmonica and she looked at me and said "well yah".

OK; just checked it out on Spotify. Yes there was harp on that version.
Sounds like he switches to a tremolo near the end.

The you tube cut of "Daddy doesn't Pray" that I listened to had obvious
Mickey Raphael backup licks and a full solo verse. I saw other cuts that
he probably doesn't play on.

Chris was on SNL last night, and Mickey played harp on both songs he did.
One can find the segments on NBC.com. It was pretty good. I've been a fan
of his for 5-6 for his work with The Steeldrivers-an incredible voice.

Yeah. I just tried again and found the cut with harp. There is another with
fiddle in place of the harp.
