I know we've talked this one to death over the years, but I just got one.
I don't want to go crazy with snipping this and soldering that. I'm looking for simple stuff, tube subs, speaker upgrades etc. I already put a 12ay7 in the first gain stage (this ain't my first rodeo).
Eventually I think I'll put in a 1x12 cab with a speaker upgrade.

C'mon, Ryan! Fire up that soldering iron, it'll be FUN!

Do you already have links to BillM mods?

1. install bias pot
2. change input capacitor
3. power transformer upgrade

For the power tubes, I dabbed a bit of clear silicone goo on the ends of
each spring to the retainer plate above, and the chassis hole below. Keeps
them from slipping out when changing tubes.

before you crack the case, and drop the resale value. put in JJ or better power tubes and try pairing it with a LONE WOLF HARP TONE EQ. I set mine a black 1999 model reverb 0, master 12, mid bass treable 0, volume 5 or above.
use the pedal volume from there. I use a hot Turner crystal mic Dennis Olling(sp?) in KC setup for me
