I know Rob Paparozzi works all the time, in a variety of settings, but I
would love to see him record a harmonica CD [vocals too, of course!]. You
know, his favorite blues, funk and jazz, on both diatonic and chromatic.
What a gift for the harmonica community! How about it Rob? We'll buy it!

Hey WVaBob...

Thanx to You and Smo-Joe and Larry H for the nice words about my Videos of
the GSHC...

YOU GOT IT!!! I will start production the 1st of the year on my LONG awaited
debut CD and it's sure nice to know I have a few advance sales in the
works!,-)

I've spent most of my Career playing and singing on other ARTIST's projects
and I've decided it's MY turn.... it will NOT be a Butterfield Tribute or
The Hudson Rivers Rats or Blues Brothers or BS&T....but a Rob Paparozzi CD
of "What I do" Play Diatonic, Chromatic and Sing and maybe even a smidgeon
of Piano and Guitar.

I think your suggestion of mixing Blues, Funk and Jazz is excellent and so
representative of what I do MUSICALLY! Thanx for the encouragement and
please 'stay tuned'...I will update the list on my progress....

Thanx Again and Good luck with your playin too!
Happy Holidays to all of Harp-L....Rob P

Hey all,

I remember seeing Rob 22 years ago in a club in Palisades Park. I then saw
him a few more times in various gigs around North Jersay. I told him there
was no doubt in my mind if he kept at this that he would be very successful. I
guess I useta speak out of my head back then. He was the guy that turned me
on to harp-l. He was always straight forward with me and shared anything about
harmonica that I could handle. Never was condescending or self centered.

Well it is nice to see him getting the recognition he has worked so hard
for. Touring the world and making I hope a good living. In fact like someone
mentioned, he deserves even greater notices compared to what is out there.
Especially for his vocals. He is probably my favorite harp player out there.
Does it all. A musician's musician.

Rob, you are certainly in complete command of any stage you walk out onto. I
hope you cut a smoking solo CD that fires up the market. You deserve all the
success that comes your way.

Happy Holidays,

Chris Mastakas

I know it's available on another CD, but it wouldn't be you if you didn't include "Shame, Shame, Shame" on this recording. This is something I will look forward to until you complete it.
And when are you ever again going to show up at Buckeye or SPAH? I know you have been booked recently when these take place, but it would be great to see and hear you again at one or the other.

I will be in the line to buy any solo CD you put out Rob. I have
known your playing for years and when you played on my Birthday
concert at the Grand Canyon, it was a true delight to work with you.
You are an incredible musician. Singing, diatonic, chromatic, piano,
guitar, put it all on there.

I have a Neumann mic and an Avalon preamp you may want to be borrowing.

You know I have been pushing you to put your name out front; a self
titled solo CD would be a GREAT start! Can't wait!!!

Harmonically yours,

Robert Bonfiglio

Great news that Rob is coming out with a new CD! In the meantime, one of
the top CD's in my rotation for the past 6 years has been Rob with the
Hudson River Rats "Live 'n Well in the 20th Century". I believe it was
self-produced and may be out of print, or maybe you can still get it on his
web site. It really captures that live Paparozzi vibe - great harp, great
vocals, great songs. A real treat if you haven't heard it, and a must for
any Rob P. fan.

I picked mine up at SPAH (another good reason to go to SPAH if you can).
Too bad Rob's been so busy with touring that it's been a while since he's
made a SPAH appearance ... well, too bad for us, but great for him!

I enjoyed Rob's recent YouTube videos, but they really only captured a
fraction of the full deal. Multiply that by at least 10 to get some idea of
the excitement, energy, and musicianship Rob brings to a show with a live
band when the joint is jumpin'. (Rob - I hope you can include at least a
few live cuts on the new CD ... it really is "what you do".)

Chalk up another advanced sale, bro.

Thanx FredS,

Yeah...The Hudson River Rats "Live n' Well in the 20th Century" was Self
Produced and I only sold them at SPAH and some gigs til I sold them
out.....it had half live and half studio stuff of cuts that were never
released.....unfortunately I've run out of those and will have to see about
doing another limited run....it was a FUN project...thanx

Here is a link to an imix in ITUNES I made up of ME on harp with other
Artists....hopefully you'll hear a little harp in the short 30 sec
samples,-)....

Your input is very much appreciated...

Ciao,
