Hello Members,
As the school year gets cranked up again, here's a note to remind
those in the education community about some our handy freeware
utilities that teachers around the world have told us that they've
found very valuable in the classroom.
Cool Timer
-----------------
Here's a nifty little countdown timer that can be used to sound an
alarm after a set time has elapsed to let kids know when there turn at
something is over, etc. It can use any sound file file as an alarm or
has several built-in sounds. It can be used like an alarm clock to
sound the alarm at a certain time of day also. It can even display a
customizable scrolling text marquis when time is up to announce the
reason the timer was set, plus much more.

The Hat
------------
So many teachers have written us to tell us how much they love this
program for selecting a random order in which to allow their students
to do things. It's just like "picking names from a hat" only much more
convenient and fun. Just enter all your kids names into the program or
import them from a text file, then shuffle them to place them in a new
random order or pick individual names one at a time with cool
animation and sound that actually shows the picked name "coming out of
a hat". You can even use the program to pick pairs of names randomly
from the list for pairing students up to do projects and such. Many
more fun features make this handy little utility worth a look. Get

Thanks for the wonderful work you all do for our children and we hope
you find these freeware offerings useful.
