As of today you will see this disclaimer:
"NOTE: This website is best viewed with Internet

Chrome and other browsers that do not fully display all
the information on this website."
The previous post left off with "This really would be quite funny if
it were not so sad". Well the tragicomedy continues.
Rather than fixing the website, Harmony Development Company /
Starwood / Moyer Management Group et al decided to fix the verbiage in
their laughable disclaimer instead.
As of today you will now see this new and improved disclaimer:
"NOTE: This website is best viewed with Internet Explorer, due to
incompatibilities some people have using Firefox, Google Chrome and
other browsers that do not fully display all the information on this
It sure is reassuring that Firefox, Chrome and the other browsers no
longer have deficiencies. But apparently the deficiencies of whomever
maintains the Harmony CDD website will continue.
To get an idea of why this is so frustrating, compare the Harmony
to the Harmony CDD website:
Notice how the Harmony Development website (which Starwood upgraded
soon after buying Harmony) has no such disclaimer explaining away the
incompetence of its author. You will also notice that in comparison,
the Harmony CDD website looks like it was authored by some throwback
to the late fifties - George McFly perhaps?
Everyone knows that Starwood (aka Bob Evans) hired Moyer Management
Group to manage the CDD. This includes the CDD website.
So why would Starwood put so much into a website for Harmony sales and
so little into the website for Harmony residents? And why would
Starwood force Harmony residents to pay many tens of thousands of
dollars per year to a management company for such a shoddy website
that your average teenager could put up for free - and with much
better results? Is this any indication of how little Starwood thinks
of the people who buy homes in Harmony?
What does it mean when a billion dollar company like Starwood offers
such a big toothy smile and a handshake to prospective buyers coming
in while at the same time giving the finger and a boot to those who
have already paid to live here?
Here's another example of the shabby treatment new residents can
expect from the developer and the people who work for them.
On 4/10/2009 I asked Brenda of Moyer Management (see http://tinyurl.com/yc3bm9j
"Can you explain why, as of today, we still can't see meeting minutes
for January and February?"
She never replied, even after promising to keep current with the
meeting minutes on the Harmony CDD website.
Once again we have the same recurring problem. The minutes from months
ago meetings (December and January) are still not available several
We each pay many thousands of dollars in CDD taxes per year to live in
Harmony. So what exactly are we paying these people for?
