Harmony CDD - After 10 Years - Needs Fresh Faces

The Harmony CDD has two seats up for election this November. One seat has been occupied by Steve Berube since he was appointed by the developer in 2010 (see "CDD-BoardHistory.pdf" attachment). The other seat has been occupied by Ray Walls since he was elected in 2011.

I think we can all agree, it's time to thank these folks for their public service and wish them well in their retirement from politics.

Ask yourself "Has Harmony improved much over the past decade?" If you are not really sure how to answer that question, please consider running for the Harmony CDD.

As stated below, candidate petitions (not required, but saves you 25 bucks) are due by May 21.

If you choose to pay the 25 bucks, your candidate submission is due by June 22.

From the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections (see "2018 SPECIAL DISTRICTS QUALIFYING PROCEDURE.pdf" attachment):

    2018 SPECIAL DISTRICTS QUALIFYING PROCEDURE

    1. If you choose to file by petition method, you need
        to collect 25 signatures of qualified electors in
        the district. Petitions must be submitted by Noon on
        May 21, 2018.

    2. Qualifying begins at Noon on June 18 and ends at
        Noon on June 22, 2018.

    To qualify you must present the items listed below
    (all items MUST be received by the end of the
     qualifying period):

    .) Form 1 - Statement of Financial Interest

    .) Loyalty Oath/Oath of Candidate

    .) The amount of $25.00 for your qualifying fee. 

    .) Candidates filing by the petition method are not
       required to pay the qualifying fee, however, will
       be charged .10 for each petition card viewed.

Why should it be someone else? If you or your dad run for Steve Berube's seat, You'll get my vote.

It should be someone well suited as a politician Dave.

As you well know, you and I are among the most outspoken folks in Harmony
and we tend to rub people the wrong way with our often acerbic commentary.
So on that basis (besides the fact that your wife is already on the board),
I don't think you would be a good choice to run either. FYI, while Ryan
visits often, he no longer resides here.
