Dear Anup,

Further to follow to my earlier mail - there seems to be a serious possibility of very close links between Congress party and Rowdy Azam in our area.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Home/Lok-Sabha-Elections-2014/News/Arrested-rowdy-shared-dais-with-Congress-ministers/articleshow/33532911.cms

Rowdy Azam is a known historical charge sheeter with multiple cases of murder etc. against him. If this were not enough, there is very credible video footage of his association with Roshan Baig which points to a very close association of the party with Rowdy Azam. As Roshan Baig himself admits in the above link that Congress party needs all to win the elections - where does it stop? Can we as innocent powerless residents of Bellandur forum be rest assured that we do not have to face Rowdy Azam if Congress wins the elections? Or does this "Humko sab chahiye" attitude or Roshan Baig prevail even after winning the elections?

Please do take this issue seriously. Looks like you have very close personal access to our CM. Please have him issue a formal statement through press on Rowdy Azam and have him arrested immediately to show his seriousness. Anything less than his arrest would mean just lip service and even though I am from a minority community - I might choose not to vote for any candidate this election.

Thanks
Salman Sibal

Dear Friends,

CM has offered strong support for the development of Mahadevapura constituency and to solve the issues.
He has also offered to have a planned development for bangalore city including the waste/garbage management.

We could not meet him personally to raise our issues. It would have been good,if we could plan and utilise this opportunity to raise our specific issues/get some assurance on that.
Residents support is mandatory to get our issues addressed by the Goverment/Authorities.We need to use every opportunity for this.

Thanks,
Anup

Hi Salman/Amitav,

Please do not mix up the incidents/forward emails to make the audience confused.
This particular mail topic is on CM visit.I do not know what is your intentions here.

If it is genuine interest on to get information on the particular incident,Nitin already replied as he was physically present there and the truth is conveyed to bellandur forum that rowdy just  joined in campaigning team without others notice. When they knew it,they have asked police to arrest him and he got arrested.CM already clarified this in media meeting that the candidate is not having any relation with him.
Medias some times may not report the complete incidents .

Thanks,
Anup

Dear Anup,

This is a very serious issue and you havent provided any proper answers yet. Minister Roshan Baig and senior congress person is on record saying that during election times, you have to use everyone.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Home/Lok-Sabha-Elections-2014/News/Arrested-rowdy-shared-dais-with-Congress-ministers/articleshow/33532911.cms

You mention that he has been arrested - but it was only a precautionary arrest. In other words, he will be out soon and people like Roshan Baig who said that you have to avail services of such people during election time will now have to provide services to them after winning elections.

We have to be very careful of such elements and be careful for the safety of our sisters and mothers and ensure that rowdies like Azam responsible for looting and murder are not allowed anywhere near our ward. We have to choose our candidates and cast our votes with utmost precaution this time.

Regards,
Salman Sibal

Dear Nitin,

There is no idea here. I am just trying to ascertain and collect information which I believe is important for me and you to make the right choice on whom to vote.

Anyway, your line of argument got me completely confused. First you make light of the 8-10 cases lodged against a candidate. You then make it almost sound like a virtue and point to your own cases and make a case for yourself as a MP candidate. Fortunately, people do not fall for such tricks anymore. One can understand such an argument in the case of the AAP candidates like Medha Patkar who has devoted her life to stopping development projects to protect the environment. However, in such instances like this, you also need to look at the fact that the person was spotted with rowdies and the incident was washed off as a "necessary evil" by a senior minister. Your argument of "So what if he has these cases" is also along the same lines.

In your case, I would give you the benefit of doubt with respect to those police cases lodged against you. But if you had rowdies join us for the lake protest, I would have serious doubts on your credibility. Because, its not longer just about the cases against you. Its also about the company you keep.

Hope this answers your question about the idea I had.

Thanks,
Salman Sibal

What exactly is the idea here ? To convince Anup or to spread a campaign message in the forum ?

If it is the former, please write to him directly.

If it is the latter, I don't think its very productive.

Incidentally I was A-1 in a case involving Section 143 (member of unlawful assembly), Rioting (IPC Sec 147), IPC Sec 188 (Disobedience to order promulgated by public servant), Section 149 (Unlawful assembly -- common object),and IPC Section 34 ! I even appeared in court and took bail.

So I guess I now possess all the qualifications required to stand for election !!!!!

Cheers

Nitin
