It looks like AMD has documentation on the actual assembly language used by their GPUs, rather than some high level virtual ISA:


This is probably worth skimming over, as it gives a lot of information about how GPU hardware is actually laid out. In many ways, the GPU seems like a fairly traditional vector processor.
