Description:

Client tracks the assets, attributes, and the insurance of each of the properties

owned by the State. These properties include buildings, furniture, vehicles, and other related items. The attributes for

each of these properties include location, responsible personnel, age, replacement cost, and additional information.

The existing environment used to manage this data and make it available for use consists of a .NET Framework 4.0.0

application (ASP.NETVB.NET) running on Windows 2016 Server with IIS version 10.0.14393.0. The contractor is

expected to upgrade the existing application to the latest .NET CORE version as well as make several changes to the

database and function of the application to enhance functionality. Access is both internal to our agency, and externally

by other state agencies. The web front end will be modernized as well to improve appearance as well as function.

 

Required Skills/Experience

Advanced knowledge of VB.NET, .NET Framework, .NET CORE programming

Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), and SQL database

Proficient with IIS configuration

Proficient with Windows Server versions 2016 and 2025

JOB SUMMARY:

Work with current developers and business partners to preform requirements gathering, plan and execute a migration of ColdFusion applications to a new AWS hosted platform running PHP/Python. Implementation and testing of security patches and vulnerability remediations and incident response when necessary. Provide documentation and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups.

 

CRITICAL KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in team-development of data-driven Web Applications utilizing PHP/Python.

Description:

This position is for a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planner. The role entails developing a disaster recovery for multiple systems of which some are integrated with other systems and a business continuity plan that covers all aspects of standard business continuity plans. The individual will work with executives, management, and subject matter experts across NYCERS. You will Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures. Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly. Act as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event

 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
