Discussion of Past times of the Lord on Janmastami

Hare krishna prabhus and matajis Pamho. AgtSP! Sri Krishna Janmastami is on 14th August, Friday. Apart from the regular advertised program for the day, some of us know that from 8am till evening we read past times of the Lord from KRSNA book in the temple room. For some reason it is not as highlighted as the evening programs. Lord himself says to Narada in Padma purana - “My dear Narada, I do not actually reside in My abode, Vaikuntha, nor within the hearts of the yogis. I reside where My pure devotees chant My holy name and discuss My form, pastimes, and qualities.” (Padma Purana) We are not pure devotees as yet but we are with Srila Prabhupada (through his instructions, Vani) and Lord will be present when his past times are discussed. So when we read KRSNA book on the day, he will be with us in his most mercyful form Maha Prakasha bhava. Let us all make sincere efforts to associate with him during KRSNA katha.
