The Arduino Due was released today, this is the 32-bit version with a faster processor, more ram, and more pins. I'll be getting one as soon as I can.

My first observation is that the 1.5.0 software still needs some work, and it will be some time for it to mature. I still like the fully open source natue of Arduino, but it will be interesting to see them compete with Raspberry Pi and Maple...

Any comments?

Pretty cool! Hope to see you present it at our meetings soon.

While searching for this I found Arduino Grande :)

Today Mr. Postman brought me, from SparkFun, an Arduino Due.

I downloaded and ran arduino-1.5.1r2-windows.zip(beta)  and it runs just fine (on Vista64) both Blink and one of my apps.

The Due is physically larger than Uno but it seems to be quite compatible otherwise, except of course for speed, capacity, and number of pins.

Also Mr. Postman brought me a leaflabs Maple and some other toys, but that's to be a different thread.
See you-all at show-and-tell at our next meeting.
