Hi,
I can find only version 3.4 online but I had 3.4b on my linear amplifier.
Is it possible to have 3.4b hex file, if different to 3.4 found online?

Many thanks,

Hi Maurizio,

The version on the website (https://sites.google.com/site/hobbypcbhardrock500/hardrock-500-power-amplifier-project/firmware-update) is 3.4b even if the 'b; is not in the file name.
You may want to consider trying the user created firmware ( https://github.com/ve7vxo/HR-500-v6.01-custom-firmware) that addresses many of the issues in the stock FW.

Many thanks Jim for the fast reply.
Just trying VE7VXO and after an hour I had over 1000 W adsorbed from power supplies and after few seconds one of both of final MOS went away.
By sure a coincidence but I think I will come back to 3.4b that worked many years with my IC-705.
As I use the IC-705 interface between linear and radio and I don't use any PTT cable, it could be not completely compatible with VE7VXO firmware.

Hi,
I am in touch with Joe who prepared a new beta firmware with some cosmetic corrections and I will report my impressions as soon as new MOSFETs arrive.
