I just installed Austonaut in ubuntu 10.04 using instructions from
vistapedia.net.

The installer created user "openvistaEHR" and according
documentation the pre-set passwords are sys.admin
and vista!123 while vista!123 is also the password for
user "openvistaEHR" to enter in Linux.

Entering "vista!123" (without the quotes) I cannot login.
What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

Depends on which id we are talking about. Two classes of user:

1) Most authority for a Astronaut installed VistA is Linux server id
in this case it is openvistaEHR which is the Linux login on the Linux
server instance id for that installed VistA instance. Its default
password is vista!123.
2) Default VistA administrator id for logging in and doing 'VistA
things' is sys.admin also with default password vista!123

Both above default passwords should be changed after install.

Hello ignacio,

I tried to change the default password as Linux administrator
but had problems. I got messages that nautilus had
problems with some libs and that I had to create following
directories manually :

home/openvistaEHR/Desktop
and
home/openvistaEHR/.nautilus

After this my system was in kind of deadlock, I could not
logon as admin and had to reboot.

I use ubuntu 10.04 (greek interface) and suspect that
the installer could not install everything needed. I had
problems related to the greek version trying to install
mike clayton's EWD installer, so I switched to the
english version of ubuntu, installed EWD and
switched back. I need probably to do the same here
but first I have, I think to uninstall astronaut.
Can you please tell me to proceed to uninstall it ?

Thanks

You can always reset the openvistaEHR password while logged into the
Ubuntu server:
sudo passwd openvistaEHR

Then you can set it to anything you want.

Also, there's very little you need to do as the openvistaEHR user,
anyway. It is mainly a portal to VistA Commander, which can be run
from the server (while logged in as any user) using the command:
/opt/openvista/EHR/bin/vista_com.sh

My current walkthrough instructions for Ubuntu-Med (using Astronaut
VistA) are at:

http://kubuntuguide.org/Ultimate_Server_Jaunty_K_with_OpenVistA_EHR

with the section on Astronaut VistA at:

http://kubuntuguide.org/Ultimate_Server_Jaunty_K_with_OpenVistA_EHR#Install_an_EHR_.28Electronic_Health_Record.29_system

The instructions are for Jaunty (because I use a teleconferencing
server that only runs on Jaunty), but the instructions should work for
any newer version as well.

This is really a great guide. I will study it carefully.

Thank you very much
