I finally have a chance to catch up on some of the recording on the
AWG and other groups. I am wondering if the WebEx site can supply them
by default in a format that I can put on one of my fancy devices so
that I can watch it on my TV rather than my computer. My eyes just
want a break from computer screens.

Does your computer have HDMI output, Sam?

No. But my Google TV can read MP4 files and can stream YouTube and any
flash video for that matter. WebEx has a rather obtuse format... I
just want to play it on my TV.

Sorry for delay - this is the site I've used successfully in the past for other formats.  Maybe it will work for the one you are targeting as well.

Let me know if it works other wise I might be able to do it for you on my local.

Get a Google ChromeCast - it will allow you to cast any browser tab, or indeed your entire desktop, to your TV.  No need for any file format transformations

Plus you can then start developing cool apps for it:

Rob... I have indeed tried the Chromecast. Streaming from your
computer introduces a very long lag, since it apparently has to go out
on the internet and back down. Thank you for the suggestions.

Okay. Sidney. Just tried. :-(

Anyways... WebEx has a tool to convert the files to mp4; but I don't
have a computer that can reasonably do video conversions. I won't dare
try that on any of my laptops--I had fun with overheating while
compiling Gentoo before. Hold on... Maybe I can do it on a cloud
machine... Anyways. Fun for later.

Sam,

thats odd, I use chromecasts on all the tvs in my house for HD  streaming and never have that problem

Sam - send me the file or link to where it can be DL'd and I'll do my best to convert it for you. :-)

Try VIDEOLAN (VLC) it plays and converts audio / Video files.
