Hi! i am thinking of learning MUMPs and then work on VistA.
Can any1 help me with links/material/ebooks to study and learn MUMP's.
I am a student so a free source would be of great help.

Thanks & regards
Ricky

The best MUMPS book is Richard Walters'  "M Programming" (http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Comprehensive-Guide-Richard-Walters/dp/1555581676 from Amazon).  But it is not free.

The best free MUMPS programming reference I know of (caution: I am biased) is the GT.M Programmers Guide UNIX Edition (go to http://fis-gtm.com and click on the User Documentation tab).

The best way I know of to get up and running with a MUMPS environment (which you can use as a platform to learn MUMPS from the above in addition to the GT.M administration and operations material covered therein) is the GT.M Acculturation Workshop.  Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/fis-gtm/files then open the Acculturation Workshop folder and get the latest acculturation workshop materials.
