Some thoughts on both scanning
VOE Scanning do better when it comes to patient privacy. For example
if I want user to scan doc without logging into pt personal records
then VOE does better job.
But when it comes to marking images or capturing signature on
documents then TMG does better job.
MY QUESTION IS is it possible to have both together in TMG CPRS?
In tmg wv version they have TMG IMAGING NET LOCATION , if I add
another location in NETWORK LOCATION file and add a physical location
should VOE work?
Thanks

On issue to consider is the potential migration from Scanning in either of
these programs to full VistA Imaging and what problems that may cause. We are
actually attempting to address that issue now to see if it can be resolved
with VOES Scanning as we thought it was OK but apparently is not.

I found VistA imaging not friendly (One of my job duties is to give
training on VistA imaging). It has lot of tabs and you have to open 3
windows to see the image. Provider don't like it including me.
Outside VA, VistA imaging is not approved by FDA for dx imaging anyway
so I don't see any reason unless it is FDA approved for dx imaging.

Hi Syed,

I provide full VistA Imaging software and services inside and outside the VA and am very interested in hearing more about your usability issues.  There are many ways to configure the software to make it more friendly for providers and allow them to easily view and capture images.  I'd be happy to meet with you in person or over the phone to work with you.  Feel free to email me directly if you would like to talk more.

Take care,
