Could you walk through how to get to the CPRS option (I guess it is a
report, but don't know) that shows the I/O over the last 24 hours ?

Perhaps this will jog someone's memory.

Hi David,

yes, in CPRS there is only option to see the report of I/O for last 24 hours.

But the problem which i am facing is when i am entering data for INTAKE/OUTPUT both, then only OUTPUT amount is reflecting in the CPRS ,AMOUNT OF INTAKE is not reflecting.

Both amount should be there.

do you have any idea about this?

Can you check the RPC that is pulling it and look at the code to see if it is
being requested?

Depending on what version of CPRS you are using, you either have a user that
has XUPROGMODE key and look up under one of the options in the row with the
Tools, I am not sure which one, and you have the option to show the last 10 to
100 RPCs, or you set showrpcs in the shortcut along with

S=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx P=xxxx CCOW=disable showrpcs

and then look what RPC is pulling that input data. Then in VistA, look that
RPC up by D P^DI, Inquire, Remote Procedure, and look up which routine is
associated with that RPC, and in there see if the output is being pulled from
that file you found using that document I sent you. Maybe it is only pulling
the input.

I don't think it is in the Tools menu.  I do think it is on the help menu.

... or just add the command line parameter like Nancy shows.

In CPRS Vitals, You can see the intake/Output in Cumulative intake & cumulative output field.

I make a entry for I/O for a patient from back end side but this data is not reflecting in the CPRS  while this information should reflect there.

Did you find that one of the RPCs had the data in it that you were seeing in
CPRS? If you did, then use the document I sent you previously to look up the
code for the RPC (the name of it will be with the data) and see why it is not
pulling all that you want. Maybe there was no intent to pull it all, or maybe
there is some other issue.

Hi Nancy,

I could not find that RPC which had the data that i am seeing in CPRS.
May be i am doing any error while making a entry of I/O for a patient.

There are all  steps which i used to make a entry-

Select OPTION NAME: GMRYMGR       Patient Intake/Output Menu

   1      Enter/Edit Patient Intake

   2      Enter/Edit Patient Output

   3      Start/Add/DC IV and Maintenance

4      Print I/O Summary by Patient (by Shift & Day(s))

5      Print I/O Summary (Midnight to Present)

   6      Print I/O Summary (48 Hrs)

7      24 Hours Itemized Shift Report

   8      Intravenous Infusion Flow Sheet

9      Configure I/O Files (ADP Coordinator Only) .

Select Patient Intake/Output Menu Option: 1  Enter/Edit Patient Intake

by (A)ll patients on a unit, (S)elected Rooms on unit, or (P)atient? P

Select PATIENT NAME: 1

  ZZ PATIENT,TEST ONE                <A>    F 01-24-1945 000003322      1

Select Hospital Location: DR OFFICE

Detailed input from 6 to 9

   1      PO                                     6      PO

2      IV ACCESS                        7      TUBE FEEDING

   3      TUBE FEEDING                   8      IRRIGATION

   4      IRRIGATION                       9      OTHER

   5      OTHER

Select from 1 to 9 (enter 1,3-5 etc.) or "^" to quit: 6

Enter intake: PO

 Please enter a new DATE/TIME: N  (FEB 15, 2013@10:36:06)

 Enter PO dated FEB 15,2013@10:36:05

     Unit ml is not required.

 Select INTAKE ITEM: JUICE

  VOLUME: 125// 100

Select INTAKE ITEM: ^

Total PO intake for this time: 100 mls

Do you want to enter OUTPUT? Yes// Y  (Yes)

 Select from 1 to 6 (enter 1,3-5 etc.) or "^" to quit: URINE// 1

Enter output: URINE

 Please enter a new DATE/TIME: N  (FEB 15, 2013@10:36:10)

 Enter URINE dated FEB 15,2013@10:36

     Unit ml is not required

 1. VOIDED                     3. SUPRAPUBIC CATHETER

2. FOLEY CATHETER

Select a number for the URINE SUBTYPE(optional): 2

FOLEY CATHETER

Enter numeric value for measured output in cc/ml or

enter S(mall), M(edium) or L(arge) for estimated output.

OUTPUT AMOUNT: 100

Do you want to enter another output? Yes// N  (No)

BY THIS METHOD I MAKE A ENTRY FOR A PATIENT.

there is option no 6 where we can see the I/O entry for last 48 hours ,there both INTAKE/OUTPUT data is present in the report.

BUT WHEN I CHECK THIS PATIENT IN CPRS ,THEN IN VITAL ONLY OUTPUT VALUE IS REFLECTING .

INTAKE AMOUNT OF PATIENT IS NOT REFLECTING IN THE VITAL IN THE CPRS.

I am using only default I/O item name .

So plz tell me now this problem is related to  RPC or i am doing any mistake while making a entry.

CPRS VERSION IS 1.0.27.83.

Thanx & Regard,

Indu Agrawal

Indu, I fear you are laboring under a misconception:

You are in VISTA's roll&scroll mode when you enter:
"Select INTAKE ITEM: JUICE
VOLUME: 125// 100"
and, again:
"Enter output: URINE"
There <<<is no CPRS RPC>>> involved in entering those data.

In CPRS --> Help --> Last Broker Call
can/will ONLY show those RPC's that have just been executed WITHIN CPRS itself.

In other words, to find an I/O RPC you must enter the I/O data WITHIN
CPRS, not from a roll&scroll menu option.

Regards, and happy hunting.

I think he is looking for the display of data and in throry, unless the roll and scroll interface has been deprecated, we should be able to see the totals there. (see page 1-2 of the technical manual) Page 5-31 of the technical manual for vital signs describes the GMRVDATA RPC that returns the I&O that is in the database. There is a GMRV USER DEFAULTS PARAMETER that is discussed on page 14-1 of the same manual that might have something to do with this.

I was doing my work in wrong direction.

Thanks for telling me my mistake.

And just FYI, there are some RPC calls from CPRS that don't show up in that broker log list.

I don't recall the details right now, but I know that there is more than one way to call the Broker in CPRS.  And only some of the methods are logged.

One example that I can think of is the TPatient Object (I'm doing this from memory.)  Normally when a patient is selected, all the details of the patient are loaded into that object.  I don't think this is logged.  Also, during patient lookup, as one types in the names, the list of patients to select from are loaded into that main selection list.  That list keeps getting updated dynamically.   I don't think that gets logged either.

The long and the short of it is that most of the important RPCs are logged.  But some of the background busy work doesn't show, as I recall.

Hello,

As i am back after a long time with same problem which i am facing before of INATKE which total value is not reflecting in CPRS but in roll & scroll it is present.

In the User Manual of I/O it is written that this I/O application is interfaced with PIMS(MAS), nursing, pharmacy.

How can i check that Interfacing of I/O is proper with PIMS(MAS) and patient is active in MAS nursing service or not?

Thanks in advance,
