The servers are down right now. I told the maintainers about this.

Hello Team,

I have set up the latest WorldVistA DAT file and am using the CPRS application in my development environment.

I have completed the initial IRIS system configuration. TaskMan is running successfully, the RPC Broker listener is active on port 9000, and all the required initialization steps have been completed.

However, I am unable to connect using the CPRS client. When I attempt to log in, I receive the following error:

"Function was: Connection lost. Error was: No error code returned."

Environment

  • Database: InterSystems IRIS
  • Operating System: Windows
  • CPRS Version: 1.33.214.1 (Patch OR3508)
  • Server Address: 127.0.0.1
  • RPC Broker Port: 9000

Problem

When I launch CPRS, I receive the following error immediately after attempting to connect:
           Function was: connection lost
Error was: No error code returned

Configuration Completed

I have completed the following configuration steps:

  • FileMan initialization (D ^DINIT)
  • Device configuration
    • NULL
    • CONSOLE
    • TELNET
    • HFS
  • Domain configuration
  • Kernel System Parameters
  • TaskMan configuration
  • Institution setup
  • Station Number configuration
  • RPC Broker Site Parameters
  • Box-Volume Pair configured as:

    VISTA:IRIS

Diagnostic Results RPC Broker Check

D CHECK^XWBTCPMT

     Debugging is set to Off
Broker activity timeout is set to 180
Checking can Write to null device
     The NULL device is OK.
Checking if new JOB's can start.
     New jobs are allowed.
     Done with the checks.

TCP Listener

D STRT^XWBTCP(9000)

TCP Listener started successfully.

Windows also confirms that port 9000 is listening:

netstat -ano | findstr 9000 TCP 0.0.0.0:9000 LISTENING

RPC Broker Site Parameters

Domain Name : DEMO.OSEHRA.ORG
Box-Volume Pair : VISTA:IRIS
Port : 9000
Status : RUNNING
Type : New Style

D ^XUP  Works successfully.

Interactive Broker Test

When running:

D CALL^XWBTCPMT

with

IP Address : 127.0.0.1 Port : 9000

I receive:

Failed: <READ>TEST+13^XWBTCPMT

Additional Information

  • $I returns:
|TRM|:16436
  • CPRS shortcut:
CPRSChart.exe s=127.0.0.1 p=9000 ccow=disable

Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Karuppasamy S

CHECK^XWBTCPMT says "New jobs are allowed", but $$AVJ^%ZOSV returns 0

That's a question you want to ask Intersystems. "AVJ" means available job.

I learned the hard way that WorldVistA's vehu docker images and its variants use port 9430 with a listener already running. When I used STRT^XWBTCP is started an "old mode" listener. But that is a yottadb docker container. IRIS is a beast in comparison.
Run DEBUG^XWBTCP and set it to verbose. After a failed connection attempt, look at ^XTMP("XWBLOG"_$J to see what is happening on port 9000.
