Greetings, Hardhats!

We're only one month out from the VISTA Expo & Symposium. Several of the associated training classes will begin on Saturday, September 8th. The Expo will launch with an evening social on Monday, September 10th, and the main Expo programming begins on September 11th. It's tempting to leave things to the last minute, but you'll want to get your registration set up, and make your travel arrangements soon.

Reminders:

* Hotel reservations: In order to ensure that you receive our favorable conference rate, use the link at the Expo Hotel page, or specifically ask for the VISTA Expo rate when you contact the Seattle Airport Marriott. There are a limited number of rooms at that rate, so be sure to make your reservations soon.

* Conference registration: Visit our Registration page to get set up for the Expo. If you work with one of our major sponsors (currently GT.M and DSS), please contact them for special registration discount codes. Otherwise, if you sign up for our mailing list, you can qualify for a small discount.

* Training classes: We have several training opportunities being offered at the conference hotel on the days just prior to the Expo, so you can take a class, and not miss any programming! We will have courses on EWD, GT.M, CPRS for end-users, and Agile Project Management Techniques. Seats for these classes are limited - and the EWD course is dependent upon a minimum class size registered by August 24th - so register soon! Course information is linked at our Registration page.

* Papers for the Proceedings are due August 15th. Please get us your articles or white papers on VISTA-related topics, for publication in the Proceedings volume. We don't mind if it has been previously published, as long as you have retained publication rights. We ask that you share your work with us under a CC BY (Creative Commons by Attribution) or similar open license. Submissions and questions can be sent to  vist...@vistaexpertise.net

And feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!

Thanks for this reminder. The VISTA Expo is looking very good. I am glad Rob Tweed will be able to be there. This expo is a great complement to the OSEHRA Summit and VistA Community Meetings. See you there! (ah.. don't forget to vote for best presenter and best webinar!)

Some major VISTA Expo & Symposium deadlines this Friday, August 24th.

* This is the day when we will determine whether we have adequate registrants for Dr. Rob Tweed's 3-day EWD Intensive course, September 8-10. If we do not have the minimum class size filled, this course will be cancelled. Please pass the word along to any programmers you know who may wish to take this important class!

* This is the last day that we can guarantee favorable conference hotel room rates. If you wait to make your reservation, you may miss out on significant savings. Find the reservation link here: http://www.vistaexpo.net/hotel.html

The schedule of VISTA Expo speeches, presentations, discussion sessions and pre-conference training opportunities can be found here: http://www.vistaexpo.net/schedule.html

Please register for the Expo and for pre-Expo classes today at: http://www.vistaexpo.net/registration.html
If you encounter any difficulties with the registration check-out system, please don't hesitate to contact Linda Yaw (linda.yaw -at- vistaexpertise.net). We will be happy to assist you.

Don't miss out, and please spread the word!
