Guys,

Open health advocates in Britain had a very successful first "NHS Hack
Day" in London this weekend. Report below. It went so well that
additional NHS Hack Days are being organized in Liverpool and Oxford.
In addition, the Nuffield Trust is sponsoring a seminar on VistA for
the NHS on July 5th in London.

I was there! :-) And our VistA / SMART App based demo won one of the
prizes!

See:

for my notes.

Lots of interest in SMART apps starting to develop now in the UK as a
result, and it's kindled more interest in the NHS VistA concept.

Some photos of the event (not taken by me - I was too busy hacking!):

Also, I'm attending the NHS VistA Round Table at the Nuffield on the
5th.

Find out more about the VistA / SMART platform at the VCM next week,
Josh Mandel from Harvard Medical School will be presenting on the
background to SMART, and George and I will be demoing and explaining
what we've been up to with VistA.

Rob,

Terrific! You need to write reports on both events. This is HUGE.
Happy to post the reports in Open Health News.

See you on Monday...
