This readme was an interesting read.
10. Sorting FileMan entries "backwards" (using a minus sign after the "SORT BY:" prompt) has been improved. Sorting by reverse internal 'NUMBER' (highest number first) will be much more efficient. And sorting by alphabetically-valued fields will finally work, showing entries from Z to A.
For some time, I have wished for backwards sorting, specifically when interacting with a user via ^DIC with DIC(0)["A". For example, if we are searching for a patient's document in file 8925 (TIU DOCUMENT), and the user enters "??", it starts with the oldest document-- often 10 yrs old. And then they have to go forward page after page to get to modern documents.
Is there a way for using this backwards display/sorting when selecting records? It seems that what you have initially posted has more to do with the PRINTING functionality.
Thanks in advance.
