We recently added a new feature to the code base that will be in the
next YottaDB release, a deviceparameter that allows a terminal
$PRINCIPAL device to respond to SIGWINCH when the terminal size changes.
Draft Release Notes are at
https://gitlab.com/YottaDB/DB/YDB/-/work_items/1247 and we would be
interested in any feedback if you care to try it. You will need to
rebuild from source (
ydbinstall.sh will build and install YottaDB for you if you want).
This fixes one of my personal minor annoyances. Previously, if I did a
show -segment in GDE, the lines wrapped, and I expanded the window size, a subsequent
show -segment would still wrap at the old location. Now, it will use the new window size.
Please note that since this feature is in a code base that is under
development, it should not be used in production till our next
production release. Thank you.
