Has anyone in this group had luck integrating KB_SQL with HuiOpenVista
release 4.1 or 4.0, and GT.M 5.0C?

I have to date no success. I seem to hit some kind of a loop when I
import the SQLRTN.1 file during installation, and my mumps.dat file
just grows and grows! I hit 66GB the other day from 900M before I
canceled the routine import.

I'm stepping my way through the routines to try to figure out what is
happening, but I'd love to hear feedback from anyone that has ever run
into this!

I haven't installed KB_SQL but if you look through the KB_SQL
documentation support site, there is an article that states thats ome
Vista systems took anywhere from 5 to 10 hours to install. As for the
how big the mumps.dat file becomes is unclear.

I'll give it a shot, and let it run overnight. My 66GB filled up the
other day, but I have my mumps.dat file on a 556 GB partition now, and
am about to start the install script again. I'll post my results!

I'd be cautious about that if I were you, 66 GB sounds way out of line.
How big was your original database again?

No go on this. After 16 hours, the database sits at 95.6GB, and still
is trying to load SQLRTN.1 for the install. Server is Poweredge 2850
w/ 4GB RAM, Dual 3.2 Xeon processors, 66GB Raid0 @ 15kRPM, 556GB Raid5
@10kRPM. I would think that with this server the install should come in
at the low end of 5-10 hours.

Origional Database was 870MB! I am attempting this install on a clean
fresh install of Hui OpenVista 4.1 and GTM 5.0C.

It shouldn't have taken that long with a server like. The only other
thing I remember from reading the documentation was that KB_SQL needed
some "SQL" interface routines that are part of VistA software. Maybe
OpenVista does not have that? I'm not all that familar with OpenVista.
Other than that I'm out of ideas.

Update: KBSQL installed. The mumps.dat file was growing due to an
error trap that was looping in the ^SQL global. Thanks for the
suggestions!

Please tell us how you figured it out.

I turned on journalling, and looked at journal extraction file after I
aborted the install. An error was being trapped in the ^SQL global,
saying it couldn't ZLINK routine files. I discovered the routines were
being expored to my home directory (~) , and updated $ZROUtines to
include that directory. Installed without incident after that.

I am still having problems bringing my TCP ports up in KBSQL, but I
think it's too early to call in the calvary for help!
