Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.
To capture a video snip, open Snipping Tool, select the Record button, then select New recording, or press Windows logo key + Shift + R. Select the area of the screen you wish to record, then select Start. When you are done, select Stop. At this point you can save the recording as-is or select Edit in Clipchamp to work with it in the Clipchamp video editor.
First, identify the menu or other components you want to capture. In Snipping Tool, select Delay and then select, for example, 5 seconds. Select Mode to start the 5-second countdown. Are keyboard shortcuts too much for you to handle? The bundled Apple utility Grab, located in the Applications > Utilities folder, is another method for capturing screen shots in Mac OS X. Grab is useful if you need to include a cursor or a menu in your screen shot, or if you want to save your screen shot to TIFF format. To include a cursor, first go to Grab Preferences and select the cursor icon you wish to have in your screen shot. To capture the screen with Grab, run Grab, then choose one of the capture modes from the Capture menu: Selection, Window, Screen, Timed Screen.
Is there a way with Python (maybe with OpenCV or PIL) to continuously grab frames of all or a portion of the screen, at least at 15 fps or more? I've seen it done in other languages, so in theory it should be possible.
You will need to use ImageGrab from Pillow (PIL) Library and convert the capture to numpy array. When you have the array you can do what you please with it using opencv. I converted capture to gray color and used imshow() as a demonstration.
I tried all of the above but it did not give me the real-time screen update.You can try this. This code is tested and worked successfully and also give you a good fps output. You can also judge this by each loop time it's needed.

The screenshot will be copied to your clipboard, or you can save it to your screenshots folder. To save the file, paste the screenshot into any program that allows you to insert images, like Microsoft Word or Paint.
To take a screenshot on Windows 10 or Windows 11 and automatically save the file to the Screenshots folder, press the Windows key + PrtScn. Your screen will go dim and a screenshot of your entire screen will be saved to the folder.

To start the Snipping Tool in Windows 11, you can search for it or press the Windows Key + Shift + S. Like Snip & Sketch, your screen will go dim and a toolbar of screenshot options will appear at the top of the screen. This toolbar will let you take a rectangular, freeform, full-window, or a full-screen capture, as well as time your screenshot for the amount of seconds you'll need to pull up the window you need to capture.
Once you've taken your screenshot, it can be copied to your clipboard, saved to the Screenshots folder, or printed right away. If you click the preview that pops up in the bottom-right corner of your screen, you'll be able to save and edit it further.

Using the Windows snipping tool, it is not possible (or is it?) to get a screenshot of a drop down menu. As soon as you select "New" in the snipping tool's toolbar, then the drop down menu disappears.
The delay feature only works for the Windows 10+ version of the snipping because it wasn't introduced until then. For earlier versions, you need to use the cntrl-PrtScr option. Open up the Snipping Tool. If it's active to create a new snip, click cancel or hit the ESC key. Open up the desired menu and press cntl-PrtScr, this will reactivate the Snipping tool but leave the menu open. Then you can select what kind snip you want to make (free form, rectangular, window or full screen) and grab your screenshot.
What happened to you, happened to me, but here is the best, the oldest way of all: PrintScreen button (normally top/right area of an standard keyboard) I hope you still have it in your keyboard. Most new nb's keyboard don't have it. Most standard Desktop's keyboard still have it.If so, when you press it, it got a screenshot of 1,2,3 as many monitors you have, a whole full screen, the you use Paint (or called Paintbrush) and you select what you want.Now, if you don't have that type of keyboard, then you need a special software probably someone else mentioned already.
