I really see no point in having a page detailing the effect of having a pet out when all it will say is basically, "You have this pet." Indeed, most pet articles do not even have associated buff articles, and the few that do are spam, marked for deletion, or redirects. They are not being used and will not be informative enough to warrant their existence. Jimbo Jambo (talk) 19:24, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
I think that we should have the sprites used by the pet when it's flying or trying to catch up with the player; some pages for pets mention what the sprite looks like (e.g. the Black Cat page says that it flies on a broom) but don't have images of the sprite. I think that since the flying state is very common for pets in the late game (what with Asphalt and Wings and other speed-enhancing things) it should be placed with the walking/standing sprite that most pages already show. --Xolroc (talk) 15:26, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Also, please look at the talk page and ask yourselves: "Does it look right when I add my questions to he top without any signature or visible line breaks?" (There's a "show preview" button.) --185.220.101.16 06:58, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
The Dirtiest Block (obtained by finding the item that is visually identical to dirt) is missing. See here for further information about The Dirtiest Block. RewardGrin (talk) 04:09, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
According to the release notes for 1.4.1, the Jewel of Light, Pumpkin Scented Candle, and Suspicious Looking Tentacle all had their brightness increased, with the Jewel of Light being the brightest option of all the light pets now. The values here, as well as on the Light sources page, don't reflect this. I'd update the numbers myself, but I don't have the slightest idea where to find the current values. The phrase "considers [shields] a delicacy" is used at least twice here, but does that actually have any backing? The fact Like Likes eat shields and tunics doesn't mean they find them especially tasty, or that they even "consider" them to be anything for that matter, seeing as there's nothing to suggest they're in any way intelligent. Is this just speculation, or what? Jimbo Jambo (talk) 05:10, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
In addition to brushing for two minutes twice a day and flossing, you should talk to your child about the importance of diet and how it plays a role in their oral health. You should also spend some time speaking about the effects of not taking good care of their teeth and how it can lead to cavities, decay, extraction, gum disease, and many other serious complications that will cause significant discomfort and take much time and money to fix.
A feature from BBC Scotland News sheds light on Oluwakemi Akinbobola, a 34- year old Glasgow-based NHS professional who migrated to Scotland with her spouse over 10 years ago. She now hosts a music and talk show in Yoruba, a language native to West Africa.
Jambo said that one of the positive aspectsof the 20-year long civil war in Sudan is that it has brought the ruralwoman to the forefront in heading households and in actively forcing theirway out into the public domain. "There is so much awareness now amongSudanese women," she said. If women could harness these strengthsand take them a step further, Jambo said, they could use upcoming peacetalks as an opportunity to regain the political representation they lostwhen a fundamentalist regime took power.
The civil war that is being fought betweennorthern Muslims associated with the Sudanese government and southern blackAfricans has resulted in approximately 2.2 million lost lives. The U.S.government has been working for three years to facilitate peace talks betweenKhartoum and the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), an effortthat resulted in the recent signing of a framework agreement in Naivasha,Kenya.
Women, who represent 60 percent on thepopulation and 80 percent of the food producers in the country, are, atthe same time, the most oppressed group and the major bearers of the bruntof the war, Jambo said. They "have a legitimate human right to participatein governing the Sudan and making it a correct Sudan" and thereforeneed to be represented at any peace talks.
"If you are looking for creativenew ways to prevent conflict," Koppell said, "the easiest andsometimes the most obvious way is to begin to bring in the other 50 percentof the population. I think there is an enormous opportunity for women toget involved in the case of the peace talks in Darfur currently being setup."
