Any plans to make the "look around" controls smooth again?

Last time I played this, the controls for looking around had changed and I could no longer look up or down with the joystick and looking side to side was choppy and in increments. Is this the way it is from now on? Maybe we could have a menu to customize controls according to controller. I have a Moga pro and it works great.
