There are 2 sheets for
the workbook, 1 for hitters (H) and 1 for pitchers (P),
so please check out both sheets. You can switch between the sheets via the tabs at the bottom of the sheet.
As with the last few seasons this will be an e-mail bidding. I will update the workbook with the bids as
often as I can until round 1 ends. Please e-mail me (kek...@yahoo.com) all bids with the following format to help make it easier to track:
Subject line must contain the usual "Hardball Assn" or "HABLA" to make it easier to find in my e-mails.
Body of your message should contain the following for the bids: Player name, position of player, current bid, max bid Player name, position of player, current bid, max bid Player name,
position of player, current bid, max bid Name of team bidding
As an example, the body of the bidding should look something like: John Doe, SS, $5, $10 Jack Doe, P, $4,
$7 Washington
Minimum bid is $2. If 2 (or more) teams submit the same max bid for a player, the team that submitted the max bid first will have the status of high bidder (until someone outbids them).
Round 1 of free agent bidding is
now open and will last until Friday (4/14), 11 pm EST.
Please be sure not to overbid as teams that are in deficit at the end of the offseason (after Spring training) will be penalized. Please check your finances to make sure you have enough money to cover your max bids.
If trading for cash to use for round 1 of free agent bidding please do not submit bids that would exceed your pre-trade balance until after the trade has been fully approved. Would recommend that teams trading cash for round 1 of free agent bidding get their trades completed (matching confirmations sent in by all teams involved in the trade) by 6 pm EST on Friday (4/14) so that the teams involved will have enough time to receive approval and make plans to make/update their bids. Also, as a reminder, franchise tagged players that would have been free agents during the current offseason cannot be traded until the start of the upcoming/subsequent new season (ie., LA's Evan Longoria cannot be traded until the start of the upcoming new season as he would have been a free agent during this offseason).
Below are links to the finances and trades. Please be sure that the information for your team is
reflected correctly. Any missing transactions or errors, please let us know:
