I can convert your program even to SQL or to Advantage Database Server. I have already done such migrations before.
I can also provide backward compatibility. In that case, you will have a single source code base that works both under Clipper and Harbour. You can also keep using the old RDD if you prefer.
Best Regards

Hi Andy,
Thank you for your message.
The migration of legacy CA-Clipper systems to Harbour is precisely my area of specialization. I have been working with Clipper-based applications since 1989 and currently focus on modernizing legacy DOS systems into 32/64-bit Harbour environments while preserving their original logic and visual identity.
Recently, I completed the full migration of a large CA-Clipper 5.2e system to the latest Harbour version. The project was executed with the following principles:
Maximum preservation of original PRG source code
Minimal structural changes to maintain compatibility and readability
Modernized printing system (conversion from legacy EPSON ESC/P emulation to native PDF generation)
Preservation of the original user interface, with optional improvements implemented only upon client approval
Clean and maintainable Harbour build structure
Since you mentioned that you would like to keep the Harbour source files for future maintenance, I fully support that approach. In my last migration project, I:
Delivered all Harbour project files
Documented the changes introduced during migration
Provided step-by-step guidance on installing Harbour and required tools
Explained the build process so the original developer could independently compile and maintain the system
My goal is not only to migrate your system, but to ensure you and your company retain full autonomy moving forward.
In addition to migration, I can also introduce optional improvements such as:
PDF reporting
Performance optimizations
Improved database handling
Modern compiler structure
Optional GUI or enhanced console interface (if desired)
I provide full post-migration support and am available for future enhancements and maintenance.
If you would like, we can schedule a brief call to discuss the size of the system, external libraries involved, printing routines, and database structure. Based on that, I can provide a structured scope and timeline.
I would be pleased to assist you with this transition.
Best regards,
Mario Wan Stadnik
