VSCODE search and codepage

Hi vscode users
I'm trying to migrate from my old editor to vscode.
When trying to do a multiple file search, the search box is surrounded in red, and a popup appears below it saying "Unknown encoding: cp850"
I have checked the "Auto Guess Encoding" option, but it says this setting is not respected by text search.
Googling it, all I could find was that it's no longer supported.
How did you solve it?

Help will be much appreciated.

i use cp437, can see also  semigraphic charapter

And with cp437 you can perform search in files?

I get the same encoding issue as with cp850.
