Good morning.

This is a "search and seizure" message :-):-) :-)

Well, it's a joke but it has a certain connotation. Not long ago I met
Mr. Antonio Linares together with a group of other great people, very
good coding professionals. The thing is that I was "introduced" to
FiveLinux and I started to collaborate in its documentation in Github,
but due to the way the systems are evolving, the mentioned library needs
a very good "tuning".

Within my limited knowledge of Harbour and GTK, I have done some tests
and they add bugs to others that also arise. I have the impression that
it is GTK version 2.x which, should be updated at least to 3 and go
testing to see.

Personally I am committed to myself to make FiveLinux work and improve
it little by little, but I can't do more and I can only cover the
organisational aspect and the impulse so that nothing escapes us, but I
need to be part of a team that, at least, has a specialist who knows
where to correct initially to leave everything functional and, from
there, to continue with the project.

There is a lot to do and only passion and altruism are the tools to
collectively carry forward a well-deserved ovation to those who preceded
us when Clipper was built and built the Harbour ecosystem, to continue
raising this great programming language.

Therefore, if someone with GTK knowledge would be interested in my
proposal, it would be a turning point for Habour in Linux (Ubuntu
"flavours") and a great joy in this regard.

Thank you very much,
Best regards.

Hello.

Where to look for when GTK gives us a message like this?
gtk_box_pack: assertion 'GTK_ISd

Thank you.

Hi, I tried to build the fivelinux lib and I have this error :

Package libglade-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libglade-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libglade-2.0' found
source/internal/lnx.c:5:25: fatal error: glade/glade.h: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
compilation terminated.
Makefile:101 : la recette pour la cible « objc/lnx.o » a échouée
make: *** [objc/lnx.o] Erreur 1

I have no libglade-2.0.pc and no glade.h

I'm under Xubuntu 16.04

Where do I fail ?

Thanks
A+

Hello Alain.

The problem initially raised about FiveLiInux has already been solved by
Antonio Linares. I am personally documenting FiveLinux to make it fully
functional on Linux (obviously).

I continue with the work until the next possible bug, which I would
already share.

Thank you very much.
Best regards.

I just tried to install libglade2.0-dev, which was an error

Now I build five libs, but I fail to build the samples:

Hello Alain.
It seems that fiveform.prg contains program error, but it is not because of the FiveLinux installation.

If you try for example: source build.sh tutor04

Best regards.

You're right, but a few other samples fail.

Here are the samples which fail to build :

dozip
fivedbu
fiveform
testclip
testprn
vmh

Hello Alain.

Thanks for your necessary contributions to bring FiveLinux to success.

I will take a look at what you have exposed, however I would suggest you to test the installation by creating your own sources, as we are defining on the FiveLinux website to see if there are also errors there, as we are in a new phase of functional reconstruction of this GUI library.

Thank you very much.
Best regards.
