error control

I have an app with a main screen and a few screens that are triggered by buttons and menus from the main screen.
I've already tried to implement an error control where the application returns to the main screen in case of an error. I've tried to do this with the Try and Catch Err features I've seen in some examples.
But I'm not able to do that.
I would like to implement something like "There was an error in the application, do you want to continue in the application?, (generate error log, send screen print), etc..."
Does anyone know how I can do this?
