Hello everyone,
I would like to address Harbour's support for the JSON data interchange format. While Harbour possesses robust, native capabilities for JSON parsing and generation through its dedicated libraries and functions (e.g., hb_jsonDecode(), hb_jsonEncode()), this implementation is not currently listed on the official
json.org website.
The absence of Harbour from this authoritative list (
https://www.json.org/json-en.html) may hinder its discoverability among new developers evaluating technologies for modern data exchange. Officially appearing on this list would strengthen Harbour's profile as a modern language with standard data capabilities.
Therefore, I would like to propose that the project maintainers initiate the process to have Harbour included in the official JSON implementations list. This would be a significant step for the project's visibility and adoption.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Marcos Jarrin
